Accident Insurance Rates Explained

doctor checking patient's knee who's covered by accident insurance rates

Whether you decide to offer Guardian Accident Insurance as an employer-paid benefit or as a voluntary benefit, you and your employees can count on affordable group accident insurance rates and comprehensive coverage and service. Guardian's flexible strategies can help companies control accident insurance cost and stay within budget, while delivering a product that adds value to their benefits package and can make a real difference to employees.

A choice of four plans to fit any budget

To get the most coverage while still keeping your accident insurance rates affordable for you and your employees, Guardian offers a choice of four plans – Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum - and a range of important riders. The main difference between our plans is the coverage amount paid to insured employees.

This flexibility with plan choices and optional riders allows you to tailor your accident insurance rates and protection to better meet your employees’ needs and your company’s bottom line.

You can even choose to offer all four plans and let your employees decide which plan and which accident insurance rates are best for them.

There are over 40 different circumstances that all Guardian plans pay benefits for, including:

  • Common injuries such as burns, dislocations, fractures, concussions, eye injuries, lacerations, and brain trauma.
  • Services during treatment and recovery, such as ambulance, emergency room treatment, x-rays, hospitalization, surgery, chiropractic visits and more.
  • Outpatient therapies (occupational, physical, vocational, speech, respiratory, cognitive, behavioral)

Child organized sport benefit provides more for the benefit dollar

Participating in organized sports provides children with many benefits, including physical exercise, socialization, and opportunities to learn important life lessons like being part of a team and how to handle success and failure. In support of keeping kids active and healthy, Guardian’s child organized sport benefit increases covered benefits up to 25%1 for a child (covered dependent aged 18 years or younger) who has an accident while playing organized sports. We also cover baseline concussion studies which are required by many youth sports leagues.

Standard features on all plans

Our Rainy Day Fund pays benefits when a covered person has exhausted a frequency limitation on many benefits. Members start each year with up to $500 in the fund (varies based on the plan design chosen by employer) and we use that money to pay claims that would otherwise be denied due to frequency limitations. Leftover amounts up to half of the initial fund amount are rolled over to the next year. Uses for the Rainy Day Fund include doctor follow-up visits, fractures, outpatient therapies, and many more.

TravelAid Services are also included providing employees and their dependents with a safety net for both personal and business travel. TravelAid is available around the clock and the world to ensure assistance when members need help the most – whether it’s a medical emergency or simply replacing travel documents.
