Whether you are just getting started or have an established absence management program, you should clearly communicate consistent policies to help drive compliance. Offered in partnership with the Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC), and sponsored by Guardian, this webinar is designed to help employers and brokers understand how leave administration, written policies and communications promote consistency and ultimately compliance. 

We will discuss best practices for establishing, aligning and reviewing policies and communication material to improve compliance, and address the following:

  1. Consistency:
    • Types of activities that demonstrate and promote consistency
    • How to leverage specific written policies to improve processes
  2. Communication:
    • Importance of written communications
    • The role of the employee handbook
    • What to say before, during, and after a leave
  3. Compliance:
    • Provisions available at the discretion of the employer
    • Employer requirements
